“The real bottom line is your talent. You have to be born with your singing voice. You can walk like a rockstar, see how the rock gods do it, adapt to their way of life – well, maybe except for their extravagant spending – but of all the must-haves, the main ingridient is your voice.”

Arnel Pineda also talks about rock gods who didn’t really have the perfect singing voice, but had the guts to pursue their dreams like Bono, Simon Lebon from Duran Duran and Sting.

“There are a lot of artists that don’t have that perfect, singing voice, but they can carry a tune or melody. So then their voice becomes distinguished and different, and with the good composition of their songs, they become who they are today.

Like Bono – Bono wasn’t really a singer, but he carried a tune really well, and the sound of his voice became unique. And then there’s Simon Lebon from Duran Duran. He wasn’t a singer, but he loved music so much and he pursued his dream. Also Sting – he was a musician, but he was a professor!

There are also those who are born with amazing voices, but they don’t have the guts and confidence to present themselves and sing in front of thousands of people.”
